The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced new dates for the 2025 edition of the Zenith Bank Women’s Basketball League, signaling a slight adjustment to the initial schedule.
According to a circular signed by the NBBF Secretary General, Amina Amanchi, and communicated to all participating teams and stakeholders, Phase 1 of the preliminary games for both the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences will now hold between July 21–29, 2025 in Benin City, Edo State, and July 28–August 5, 2025 in Abuja, FCT, respectively.
The second phase of the zonal playoffs for the Atlantic Conference is scheduled for August 24–September 1, 2025, in Ilorin, Kwara State, while the Savannah Conference playoffs will also hold between August 24–September 1, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State.
The Federation further noted that the date for the National Final 8, which will take place in Lagos, will be communicated in due course by the sponsors of the championship.
The NBBF reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a high-quality competition while ensuring smooth logistics and maximum participation from all qualified teams.
