Lafia Agog as Kwandare Monarch Commissions Abdul-Kura Mosque, MaiMuna Plaza
Governor Sule, Al-Makura, Emir of Lafia, Other Dignitaries Attend Daughter's Wedding Fatiha

The Nasarawa State capital was agog on Saturday as Muslim faithful from across the state and beyond gathered for the commissioning of the Abdul-Kura Mosque and MaiMuna Plaza, projects initiated and built by the first-class traditional ruler of Kwandare, Ahmadu Abdul-Kura Al-Makura.
The mosque and the adjoining MaiMuna Plaza were officially unveiled amid prayers and commendations from religious leaders, traditional rulers, government officials and members of the public.
Speaking at the event, guests described the projects as a significant contribution to the advancement of Islam, community development and social welfare.
They noted that the plaza, situated within the mosque premises, would serve as a sustainable source of income for the maintenance and effective management of the mosque.
The event also featured the wedding Fatiha of one of the daughters of the Kwandare monarch, attracting an impressive gathering of dignitaries from within and outside Nasarawa State.
Among those in attendance were the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule; former Governor of the state, Umar Tanko Al-Makura; the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Sidi Bage Muhammad I; the Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Aminu Mu'azu Maifata; as well as several traditional rulers, political office holders, business leaders and Islamic scholars.
The gathering offered an opportunity for prayers for peace, unity and continued development in Nasarawa State and the country at large.
Many of the guests commended the Kwandare monarch for his commitment to religious development and humanitarian service, describing the mosque and plaza projects as enduring legacies that would benefit generations to come.
The commissioning and wedding Fatiha concluded with special prayers for the newly married couple, the royal family, and the prosperity of Nasarawa State.
