Attorney General donates cash to motivate Karu Football Club ahead of crucial clash with Wamba at Lafia City Stadium

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Nasarawa State, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has boosted the morale of Karu Football Club with a donation of ₦200,000 ahead of their Governor’s Cup encounter against Wamba at the Lafia City Stadium.

The donation, presented through a delegation of the Karu Football Council and club officials during a courtesy visit to Justice House, Lafia, was aimed at motivating the team to perform excellently and lift the prestigious trophy.

Danladi said the gesture was to ginger the players and encourage them to remain committed, focused, and determined as they represent Karu in the state’s premier grassroots football competition.

He urged the team and officials to ensure the judicious use of the donation while charging them to seize the opportunity to make Karu proud by emerging victorious.

The Attorney General emphasized that football remains a powerful tool for youth empowerment, unity, and talent discovery, assuring that support for grassroots sports would continue to receive attention from well-meaning stakeholders.

Earlier, the delegation was led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports Development and Board Member, Nasarawa State Football Association, Hon. Akeusola Segun, who appreciated the Attorney General for the timely intervention and encouragement.

Other members of the delegation included the Chairman of Karu Football Council, Atu Yepwi; Secretary of the Council, Mohammed Gbagwi; and Team Captain, Philip Ishaku.

The donation is expected to further inspire the team as they prepare for the crucial Governor’s Cup fixture, with supporters expressing optimism that Karu Football Club will rise to the occasion and contend strongly for the title.
