The Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Isaac Danladi, has praised Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support of the state’s judiciary, describing his actions as a demonstration of commitment to a strong and independent legal system.
Speaking during the 2025/2026 Legal Year ceremony at the High Court, Shendam Road, Lafia, Barr Danladi highlighted recent approvals by the governor for the purchase of vehicles for lower court judges, as well as the provision of hazard and rent allowances.
According to him, these interventions will boost morale, improve welfare, and enhance productivity across the courts.
Barr Danladi urged legal practitioners to renew their dedication to justice and professionalism, stressing that the people of Nasarawa State “look up to us with hope and great expectation.
” He emphasized the importance of maintaining a judiciary that is strong, impartial, credible, and accessible to all, regardless of class, status, language, or influence.
He also commended the leadership of the state Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, describing her as instrumental in elevating the judiciary’s standing through well-organized and inspiring legal year programs.
“The successes under your stewardship are evident not only in the quality of justice dispensed but also in the bold reforms you have undertaken,” he said.
The ceremony, attended by Governor Sule, Justice Sidi Mohammed Bage, the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the State Council of Chiefs, former Chief Judges, Hassan Liman SAN, the Secretary to the State Government, and other legal practitioners, featured a symbolic court session led by the Chief Judge and her team.
Barr Danladi concluded by affirming that the Ministry of Justice remains a dependable partner in building a stronger, more efficient, and modern justice system for Nasarawa State.
