The Lafia North APC Youth Forum has reaffirmed its unwavering support for Hon. Lazarus Tanko, popularly known as "Ubandoma Koron-Kuje," as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate, urging party members and stakeholders to respect the outcome of the party's primary election.
The forum said its position reflects the collective aspirations of young party members committed to preserving the unity, stability and progress of the APC in Lafia North Constituency.
In a resolution issued after its meeting, the youth body stated that the emergence of Hon. Lazarus Tanko through the party's consensus arrangement followed broad consultations among party stakeholders and should be respected in the interest of fairness and internal democracy.
According to the forum, maintaining the outcome of the primary process will further strengthen the party's cohesion, encourage grassroots participation and position the APC for greater electoral success in future elections.
The youth group appealed to all party faithful, supporters and aspirants to embrace dialogue, mutual understanding and the spirit of sportsmanship, stressing that unity remains the party's greatest strength.
The forum expressed concern that attempts to undermine the consensus decision could create unnecessary divisions and weaken the collective efforts of members who have worked tirelessly to build a formidable APC in Lafia North.
It therefore called on all stakeholders to place the party's overall interest above personal ambitions and continue supporting initiatives that promote peace, unity and sustainable political development across the constituency.
The Lafia North APC Youth Forum reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising young people in support of the APC, promoting responsible political engagement and working with party leaders to ensure continued progress and victory for the party in Nasarawa State.
