Key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Nasarawa North Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office and backed Governor Abdullahi Sule to contest for the Senate seat representing the zone in 2027.
The endorsement was part of a communiqué issued at the end of a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday at the VIP Event Centre in Akwanga.
The gathering also threw its weight behind Hon. J. J. Umaru, member representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa-Eggon Federal Constituency, supporting him for another term in the National Assembly.
In their collective resolution, the stakeholders described Governor Sule as the best-performing governor in the history of Nasarawa State, lauding his developmental strides across the zone and the state at large.
They emphasized that the most befitting reward for his achievements is to have him represent the district at the Red Chamber in 2027.
The stakeholders also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for appointing several sons and daughters of Nasarawa North into key federal positions, describing the gesture as a testament to the president’s inclusive governance.
Convener of the meeting and Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Council, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, said the parley was organized to foster unity among APC leaders in the zone and build consensus ahead of future political engagements.
On his part, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, stated that the impressive turnout and calibre of personalities at the meeting was a clear indicator of the party’s unity and shared vision.
He noted that the major outcome of the gathering was the overwhelming vote of confidence passed on President Tinubu, Governor Sule, and Hon. J. J. Umaru.
The event attracted party leaders, appointees, elected officials, and grassroots mobilizers from across the senatorial district, all reiterating their commitment to the APC and its leadership.
