The Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barr. Isaac Danladi, on Saturday joined His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, and other top government officials and football stakeholders at the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
Barr. Danladi, alongside the Commissioners for Sports, Lands, and Information, as well as other passionate supporters of the game, rallied behind the Nasarawa Amazons in their decisive encounter against Rivers Angels.
The pulsating match ended 2-2 at full time before Rivers Angels triumphed 4–2 in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Despite the loss, the Nasarawa delegation expressed immense pride in the performance and resilience of the Amazons, applauding their determination and sportsmanship.
The Attorney General emphasized the administration’s unwavering support for sports as a vital platform for youth empowerment and state pride.
Governor Sule, visibly moved by the display, assured continued investment in sports infrastructure and athlete development, especially for the state’s female teams.
The final match attracted a nationwide audience and reinforced the growing appeal of women’s football in Nigeria.
