As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prepares to visit Nasarawa State tomorrow, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, to commission key infrastructure projects, Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for what he described as "life-touching and enduring legacy projects."
Speaking to journalists in Lafia, the State capital, Speaker Jatau described the upcoming presidential visit as a historic moment and a testament to the developmental strides under Governor Sule’s leadership. He said the Governor's infrastructural achievements, especially in the capital city, are monumental and will stand the test of time.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning is the Lafia Flyover and Underpass, a landmark development expected to ease traffic congestion, reduce road accidents, and boost urban mobility. The Speaker also mentioned the newly constructed State Secretariat Complex as another enduring symbol of progress under the APC-led government.
“These are not just projects; they are legacy investments in the future of Nasarawa State,” Jatau stated. “Governor Sule is a blessing to our people, and his visionary leadership deserves our collective support.”
The Speaker urged residents of the State to turn out in large numbers to give President Tinubu a rousing welcome, describing the visit as both a presidential honour and a celebration of progress.
He appealed to citizens to cooperate with the State Government to ensure a hitch-free visit, stressing the importance of unity, prayers, and support for Governor Sule to continue delivering dividends of democracy.
Dr. Jatau also expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his decision to personally inaugurate the projects, saying it demonstrates the President’s confidence in Governor Sule’s achievements and the significance of Nasarawa State in the national development agenda.
“The State Assembly under my leadership will continue to partner with the executive arm to support impactful governance for the good of all,” he assured.
