The All Progressives Congress (APC) Plateau State Chapter has expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence and frequent attacks on innocent residents in Plateau State. The party has described the recent wave of killings as gruesome and unacceptable.
In a statement Signed by , Shittu Bamaiyi, Acting Publicity Secretary APC highlighted the alarming regularity of bloodshed and property destruction in the state, emphasizing the recent attacks on the Zurak and Dakai communities in the Wase local area, which resulted in numerous fatalities.
The party condemned the targeting of rural communities by what it termed "bloodsucking marauders" and called for a unified response from the public and security agencies.
The APC urged residents to collaborate with security forces to combat the attackers, putting aside political differences for the safety of all.
The APC also appealed to President Bola Tinubu to prioritize the security situation in Plateau State and provide the necessary support to the state government.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to supporting both the state government and security agencies in their efforts to address the crisis.
Expressing condolences, the APC extended sympathy to those who lost loved ones and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks.
