The Nasarawa State Chapter of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has officially clarified the controversy surrounding the exit of Senator , confirming that he is no longer a member of the party.

Speaking to journalists in Lafia, the State Chairman, Hon. , described claims of Wadada’s continued membership as false, baseless, and misleading.

He disclosed that the former senator formally resigned from the SDP on August 19, 2025, after duly notifying the party leadership of his intention to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Musa, the resignation followed established party procedures, beginning from the ward level and subsequently communicated to the state leadership through the appropriate channels before final endorsement.

The chairman appreciated Wadada’s contributions to the party, noting that his time in the SDP added value to its growth and stability across the state.

He further revealed that months after his resignation, Wadada demonstrated goodwill by donating vehicles to five local government areas within his senatorial district as a mark of appreciation.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Wadada has since exited the SDP, and those spreading contrary information lack any credible proof,” Musa emphasized.

The party also commended Governor  for what it described as remarkable achievements in infrastructure and governance across Nasarawa State.

In the same vein, the party reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the national leadership under the National Chairman, , urging members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party.
