Monitoring of major social media platforms throughout the day indicated heightened discussions surrounding Kanu's ongoing legal proceedings and the Biafra self-determination movement, following a directive issued by IPOB leadership.
On July 6, IPOB spokesperson circulated an internal memorandum directing members, coordinators, supporters and sympathisers worldwide to participate in coordinated online advocacy every Tuesday.
According to the memorandum, the campaign is intended to advocate Kanu's immediate and unconditional release, promote IPOB's call for Biafra's self-determination, and encourage supporters to counter narratives the group considers inaccurate.
IPOB described the initiative as a revival of the "Tweet Tuesday" campaign originally introduced by Kanu.

Kanu, who is facing terrorism-related charges filed by the Federal Government, remains at the centre of a long-running legal dispute.
While IPOB continues to demand his release, the Federal Government maintains that the prosecution is being conducted in accordance with the law.
