Nasarawa 2027: Mike Omeri Names Maryam Osuza Campaign Spokesperson, Unveils Digital Media Team

Former Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Mike Omeri, has appointed Hajiya Maryam Osuza as spokesperson for his 2027 Nasarawa South Senatorial Campaign, alongside two other key officials to drive the campaign's digital communication strategy.
The appointments, announced in a statement issued on Tuesday, also saw Mr. Godwin Abraham Adugu named Head of Social Media, while Mr. Yahaya Abdul'Azeez Kingsparrow was appointed Assistant Head of Social Media.
Omeri, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial aspirant for Nasarawa South Senatorial District, said the appointments reflect the campaign's commitment to competence, inclusiveness, integrity and effective communication with constituents across the district.
He described Osuza, a retired civil servant and grassroots politician from Keana Local Government Area, as a seasoned administrator and respected mobiliser with the experience and leadership qualities required to serve as the campaign's chief spokesperson.
According to Omeri, the appointment was informed by her distinguished record in public service, sound judgment and extensive knowledge of Nasarawa State's political environment.
"As Campaign Spokesperson, she will serve as the official voice of the campaign, engaging with the media, stakeholders and the general public while projecting the vision, programmes and aspirations of the Mike Omeri Campaign for a more prosperous, united and inclusive Nasarawa South," he said.
The former NOA Director-General also expressed confidence in the ability of Adugu, from Arikya Ward, and Kingsparrow, from Agbashi, to strengthen the campaign's online visibility and digital engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"I have every confidence in their capacity, dedication and professionalism to effectively discharge these responsibilities and contribute significantly to the success of our campaign," Omeri stated.
He congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, innovation and effective service.
Under the new structure, Osuza will coordinate the campaign's media relations, public communication and stakeholder engagement, while Adugu and Kingsparrow will oversee social media operations and digital communications as the campaign intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
