Nasarawa Signs Lithium Development MoU with Chinese Firm After Commissioning New Energy Facility

The Nasarawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jinlide Mining Nigeria Limited to strengthen strategic collaboration in the development of the state's vast lithium resources.
The agreement was signed by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nasarawa State Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), Ibrahim Abdullahi, on behalf of the Nasarawa State Government.
The signing ceremony took place in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China, shortly after Governor Abdullahi A. Sule commissioned the state-of-the-art Jinlide–Qiangyu New Energy production facility.
The MoU is expected to deepen cooperation between the Nasarawa State Government and the mining company in harnessing the state's abundant lithium deposits, attracting investment, promoting value addition, and supporting industrial development.
The development forms part of Governor Sule's ongoing investment drive in China aimed at positioning Nasarawa State as a leading destination for solid minerals development, particularly in the lithium value chain, while creating employment opportunities and boosting economic growth.
