By Suleiman Abubakar Rimi Uku
The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has received members of the Wadada/Jagaban Gude Campaign Organization from Karshi/Uke in his office at the Justice House, Lafia, where he urged them to conduct their political activities peacefully and in accordance with the law.
The delegation, led by the Director-General of the organization, Hon. Abdul Umar (Baraden Uke), said they were at the Attorney General's office to identify with him and reaffirm their commitment to mobilizing support for the governorship ambition of Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Danyaya Wadada and the candidature of Hon. Musa Saidu Gude ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Abdul Umar assured the Attorney General that members of the organization remained committed to ensuring the success of their candidates through peaceful, lawful, and issue-based campaigns.
Responding, Barr. Isaac Danladi appreciated the delegation for the visit and commended Hon. Musa Saidu Gude for his contributions to lawmaking and democratic governance.
He also lauded the campaign organization for its commitment to grassroots mobilization and political participation.
The Attorney General, however, advised members of the group to remain law-abiding, avoid violence, hate speech, and any act capable of undermining the peace and stability of Nasarawa State.
He stressed that politics should be driven by ideas, respect for the rule of law, and the collective interest of the people.
Barr. Danladi further reminded the campaign organization that if Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Danyaya Wadada is elected Governor of Nasarawa State in 2027, he would serve as the Governor of all the people of the state, irrespective of political affiliation, ethnicity, religion, or geographical background, and not any particular group or segment.
He therefore urged members of the organization to promote unity, inclusiveness, and peaceful coexistence in all their activities, noting that such values are essential for sustainable development and democratic progress.
