The Nasarawa State Council on Prerogative of Mercy, under the chairmanship of the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has met to consider amnesty for five convicted inmates serving various jail terms in correctional centres across Nasarawa State.
At the end of its deliberations, the council approved recommendations for pardon and clemency, which will be forwarded to His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, for approval.
The meeting was held at the Justice House, Lafia, where members carefully reviewed the cases in line with constitutional provisions governing the exercise of the pp]prerogative of mercy.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to justice, rehabilitation, and mercy in line with the Nasarawa State Government’s policy on humane and reform-oriented correctional administration.
