NASARAWA ATTORNEY GENERAL ASSURES NASACA OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORT
As Dr. Ruth Bello Leads Advocacy Visit to Ministry of Justice

The Nasarawa State Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Isaac Danladi, has assured the Nasarawa State AIDS Control Agency (NASACA) of the state government’s continued support in advancing its mandate.
The Attorney General gave the assurance during an advocacy visit by officials of the agency, led by its State Executive Director, Dr. Ruth Bello, to the Ministry of Justice.
Barrister Danladi emphasized the importance of legal and institutional backing in addressing public health challenges, particularly the fight against HIV/AIDS, noting that the Ministry remains committed to strengthening NASACA’s operations through effective legal support.
Earlier, Dr. Ruth Bello said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the agency and the Ministry of Justice, especially in areas of policy enforcement, protection of the rights of persons living with HIV, and implementation of relevant laws guiding HIV/AIDS response in the state.
She commended the Ministry for its continuous support and expressed optimism that the partnership would further enhance the agency’s efforts in reducing the spread of HIV and improving access to treatment and care services.
In attendance at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary and Solicitor General of the Ministry, Barrister Mohammed A. Adi, Directors, and other staff of the Ministry of Justice.
The Attorney General reaffirmed government’s readiness to work closely with NASACA to ensure effective service delivery and sustained progress in the state’s HIV/AIDS control programmes.
