The Nasarawa State Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has intervened in the case of a 12-year-old girl from Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area, who gave birth after being assaulted by a married man.
The Attorney General held an interface with Barrister C.C. Agu, the guardian of the minor, during which he commended her unwavering commitment to protecting the interests of both the victim and the newborn. He praised Barr. 

Agu for her steadfast pursuit of justice and her dedication to ensuring the welfare of the child.
The victim, a 12-year-old resident of Mararaba, delivered a baby through a cesarean operation following the assault.

Barr. Danladi assured Barr. Agu that the Ministry of Justice will take over the prosecution of the case from the Police to guarantee diligent handling and ensure that justice is fully served.
As a gesture of support, the Attorney General donated the sum of N100,000 for the upkeep of the baby.
