Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Thursday graced the 2025 Conference of the Network of Justice Sector Reform Team (NJSRT), held at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall in Lafia. The gathering focused on the theme:
“The Interoperability Between Access to Justice and the Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.”
The high-profile event drew legal luminaries and top government officials from across the country, including Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe; State Chief Judge Justice Aisha Mohammed Usman, Secretary to the State Government, Labaran Magaji, PhD, SAN; Head of the Civil Service, Barr. Abigail Waya; Commissioner for Education, Dr. John Mamman; Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Margaret Elayo; alongside members of the State Executive Council and other justice sector stakeholders at both federal and state levels.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), who was in attendance, commended Governor Sule for his unwavering commitment to enhancing the state’s revenue through strategic innovations, particularly the establishment of a lithium processing plant in Nasarawa.
Fagbemi further praised Governor Sule’s signing of the Executive Order on mining and solid mineral development, noting that the reform will not only help in resolving business and investment-related disputes but will also boost investor confidence and attract more economic opportunities to the state.
Earlier, the Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, expressed appreciation to Governor Sule for his continuous support to the justice sector.
He also lauded the AGF for his presence and for strengthening collaboration between federal and state justice institutions.
