The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has expressed delight and appreciation to the management of Nasarawa United Football Club for honoring him with the presentation of the club’s new jersey of the ongoing Nigeria Premier League season.
Receiving the team in his office, Barr. Danladi thanked the management for considering him worthy of the gesture, describing it as a sign of respect and shared passion for the club’s success.
“As an individual and the longest serving chairman of the club,I am highly delighted with the performance of Nasarawa United. Your visit today clearly shows that you are building a lasting legacy on the one i left behind ,” he stated.
The Attorney General used the opportunity to commend Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unwavering support to the club, noting that the governor remains the number one supporter of Nasarawa United, both financially and morally.
He also appreciated the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, for his consistent involvement and encouragement to the team, commending his commitment to traveling with the club and providing both moral and financial support.
“Above all, I must thank the players, who are the major actors — you have made us proud. It is one thing to be league leaders and another to become champions.
A journey of ten thousand miles begin with a single step. By the special grace of God, as league leaders, we will finish as champions,” Barr. Danladi declared.
He encouraged the players to remain focused and not be carried away by their current position.
“I have been following your progress closely. We have two straight home matches ahead, and if we can secure those six points and avoid losing any away at home and gettingat least four points away, by God’s grace, we will emerge league champions,” he added.
As a means of encouraging the entire team, the Attorney General handed over the sum of #500,000 to the Club Chairman.
Earlier, the Club Chairman, Solomon BabanJah who led the delegation alongside the club’s Media Officer, Ambassador Eche Amos, appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unrelenting support to Nasarawa United and for providing an enabling environment for sports development in the state.
He also commended the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, for his steadfast commitment to the team, describing him as a passionate sports administrator who has continued to stand by the club through thick and thin.
BabanJah expressed gratitude to Barr. Isaac Danladi for his encouragement and goodwill, assuring that the team remains determined to make the state proud in the ongoing league season.
