The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has issued a public appeal to residents in possession of any items recovered from the site of the tragic helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, to return them immediately.

According to intelligence gathered by the ARCC, some individuals who were first at the crash scene took parts of the helicopter and other belongings.

Items reportedly removed include metals, screws, drives, boards, and other components.

Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene stressed that all such items, regardless of size, must be handed over to the Unit Committee, Assembly Members, Municipal or District Chief Executives, or the investigating team.

To encourage compliance, the ARCC is offering a cash reward for any person who willingly returns an item before the deadline of Monday, August 11, 2025.

The council has warned that anyone found in possession of such items after the deadline will be treated as a criminal and face the full rigours of the law.

“The general public is hereby notified,” the statement read.
