Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun, a former gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Benue State, North Central Nigeria, has unveiled practical initiatives aimed at tackling the country's security issues.
These initiatives according to him include innovation labs, wellness centers, civic engagement programs, and peace fellowships.
Delivering a Public Lecture during the 19th University of Mkar Distinguished Public Lecture in Gboko, themed "Navigating an Uncertain Future: Courage, Creativity, and Responsibility in Times of Crisis,"
Dr. Kuraun emphasized the necessity of courage, creativity, and responsibility to combat Nigeria's current crises effectively.
He stressed the importance of recognizing hardships while empowering students to become proactive visionaries and urged the government to fulfill its obligations in ensuring security, justice, and transparency in disaster response efforts.
In his address, Dr. Kuraun also instilled hope and a sense of accountability, challenging students and the university community to lead Nigeria towards a better future and assume collective responsibility for addressing security challenges.
