President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday, paid a one-day working visit to Nasarawa State where he commissioned major infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The Presidential aircraft, Nigerian Air Force flight 5N-FGT, landed at the Uthman Danfodio Airport, Kwandere, near Lafia, at exactly 1:58 p.m., signaling the start of a high-level state visit.
The President was received by Governor Abdullahi Sule and top dignitaries including Governors Babagana Zulum (Borno), Umar Bago (Niger), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), and the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
During the visit, President Tinubu commissioned several legacy projects, including the newly completed Lafia Flyover and Underpass, which Governor Sule named "Bola Tinubu Exchange Road" in honour of the President.
The Governor noted that the project, a one-kilometre dual carriage facility, was completed without borrowing, in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda of responsible governance and fiscal prudence.
In his remarks, President Tinubu commended Governor Sule’s administration for its focus on impactful and people-oriented projects that align with the Federal Government’s vision for national development.
“Your performance speaks volumes,” Tinubu said. “What I have seen today is a clear demonstration of leadership that is accountable and committed to public good.”
Also commissioned were the Nasarawa State Secretariat Complex, a modern administrative hub designed to enhance efficiency in governance, and a fleet of tractors to support mechanized farming across the state.
The President also participated in a town hall meeting with key stakeholders at the Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall in Government House, Lafia, where he reiterated his administration’s commitment to rebuilding the economy, fighting corruption, and ensuring prosperity for all Nigerians.
