The Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa State, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has led a high-powered delegation from the Ministry of Justice on a condolence visit to the Member representing Lafia North Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Essom Mariga, following the passing of his beloved mother, Late Mama Ladi Mariga, who died at the age of 71.
The visit, which took place at the residence of the lawmaker, was marked by heartfelt tributes and prayers. Barr. Danladi described the deceased as a caring, prayerful, and noble mother whose life of humility and devotion remains an inspiration.
“Late Mama Ladi Mariga was more than a mother to her immediate family—she was a mother to the community. Her legacy of love, strength, and values will continue to live on,” Barr. Danladi said, as he prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and divine comfort for the bereaved family.
The Attorney General was accompanied by key officials of the Ministry, including:
Isnaila Agyo Ewa, Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA)
Suleiman Akwe Mohammed, Director of Administration and Supplies (DAS)
Allu Justina Alkali, Director, Public Defender and Gender-Based Violence Response Unit
In his response, Hon. Barr. Essom Mariga, who also chairs the House Committee on Judiciary, expressed deep gratitude to the Attorney General and his team.
He noted that the visit was not only comforting but also a reflection of the unity, camaraderie, and institutional solidarity that exist within the Nasarawa State Government.
“I am sincerely touched by this visit. The Attorney General and his team have shown true empathy and friendship. This gesture has brought strength to my family and me during this trying time,” he stated.
The condolence visit underscored the strong bonds of respect and cooperation that continue to define the working relationship among key officials in the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
