The people of Nasarawa North have finally received the answer they've long awaited, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule will contest for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
This revelation was made by the Director-General of the Nasarawa State Bureau for Pension Administration, Alhaji Suleiman Musa Nagogo, during a meeting with APC stakeholders in Wamba on Monday.
“I came to Wamba today with a crystal-clear message from His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule — he has declared his interest in contesting for the Senate seat representing Nasarawa North in 2027,” Nagogo announced.
He disclosed that a committee has already been set up by the Governor to begin groundwork across the senatorial district, describing it as a "project of progress" still in its early stages.
Nagogo emphasized the significance of Wamba Local Government as the political base of the APC and called on residents to take ownership of the Governor’s senatorial ambition.
“Charity begins at home. It is only proper that Wamba leads the charge in this journey. In terms of political capacity, strategic understanding, and proven performance, Sule is unmatched,” he said.
He also noted that Governor Sule’s track record of development across the state particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, and solid minerals speaks volumes of his competence and readiness to represent the zone at the national level.
“This is not just a political ambition; it is a legacy project for Wamba and the entire Nasarawa North.
We owe it to ourselves to give him the fullest support,” Nagogo added.
