The Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has unveiled alternative routes to mitigate traffic disruptions as construction commences on the Post Office-Emir's Road-Isale Oja Road.
The project, approved by the state cabinet, is part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's urban renewal initiatives.
The Hon. Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr Abdulquawiy Olododo, urged commuters to use routes through Taiwo Isale, Edun, Obo Road, Niger Road, Opomalu, Centre Igboro, Balogun Fulani, and Bolanta Roads to navigate the Ilorin metropolis during the construction period.
"We advise residents to remove all vehicles from both sides of the construction routes to facilitate the work," stated Olododo.
"We understand the inconveniences this may cause and seek everyone's cooperation and patience as we build resilient infrastructure for our state."
Olododo expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq for his commitment to enhancing the state's roads, which are expected to boost the local economy.
The reconstruction is set to create smoother, safer, and more beautiful roads for the community.
