In a recent operation, police operatives from the Anguwan Lambu Division in Keffi have apprehended two notorious armed robbery suspects, Chibuieze Orji (52 years old) and Jibrin Mohammed (45 years old).

The duo are alleged members of a criminal gang known as "One Chance," notorious for their operations along the Akwanga-Keffi-Abuja expressway.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspects would masquerade as taxi drivers to lure unsuspecting passengers. Once in the vehicle, they would divert from the intended route, rob the passengers of their belongings, and then abandon them while fleeing the scene.

Both suspects have admitted to committing these crimes for over a decade and revealed that they were recently released from Shendam prison in Plateau State for similar offenses. Police recovered incriminating evidence from the suspects, including a Toyota Carina II vehicle (registration number Abuja CO 212 ABC), along with an axe and a hammer believed to have been used during their operations.

Commissioner of Police CP Umar Shehu Nadada has directed that the suspects be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

He also reassured the public of the police force's unwavering commitment to combating crime in the state and urged citizens to collaborate in these efforts.

This significant arrest marks a milestone in the fight against crime in Nasarawa State, demonstrating the police's determination to ensure the safety and security of residents.
