The People's Democratic Party (PDP) Media Team from Egbeda Ward Eleven has addressed recent misinformation circulating on social media regarding the completion of the Egbeda community internal roads in Emohua Local Government Area.
Contrary to claims attributing the success to former Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the PDP Media Team clarified that the project was completed under the administration of Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
According to the PDP Media Team, the project was initially mismanaged and delayed during Wike's administration, causing significant inconvenience to the Egbeda community. The project, awarded on March 9, 2023, was only 13.13% complete by the time Governor Fubara took office on May 29, 2023. Under Governor Fubara's leadership, the project was expanded and completed, including an additional 12.128 km of road and 14.77 km of drainage, at a total cost of ₦12.2 billion, with ₦10.5 billion paid to Monier Construction Company.
The PDP Media Team urged the public to recognize the dedication of Governor Fubara and his team in fulfilling promises and completing vital infrastructure projects, and to disregard false claims made by political opponents.
They emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in governance, and the need to focus on progress rather than political rhetoric.
