Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe of Nasarawa State has ordered immediate relief efforts for communities devastated by a recent windstorm in Keana Local Government Area.
The storm ravaged worship centers, schools, markets, and residential buildings, leaving a trail of destruction including uprooted trees and damaged rooftops.
Accompanied by officials including Commissioner for Humanitarian Services Princess Margaret Elayo and council Chairman Sanusi Abdul Giza, Dr. Akabe assured affected residents of government support, pledging to repair infrastructure and provide assistance to those left homeless.
The government aims to swiftly address the crisis and alleviate the suffering of the impacted communities.
