In a significant political development, the Executive Chairman of Awe Local Government, Usman Umar, accompanied by key figures including the APC party Chairman, political leaders, media representatives, women, and party supporters, convened in Kafin Moyi today to welcome a group of defectors to the APC fold.

The leader of the defectors, speaking on behalf of the group, cited reasons such as the chairman's hardworking nature, infrastructural achievements, and his embodiment of peace, love, and sincerity in governance as factors influencing their decision to join forces for his second term.

In his address, the executive chairman urged the people of Kafin Moyi to maintain unity for continued development in their community and rallied support for the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule, praising his focus and diligence in governance.

He expressed satisfaction with the returning of prominent politicians to their camp, encouraged others to follow suit, emphasizing inclusivity and equal rights for all returnees within the party.

Assurances were given by the executive chairman that the returnees would be granted equal opportunities to contribute to the party's goals and objectives.
