Seeks Federal High Court intervention, urges INEC to withdraw recognition of NWC led by Nentawe Yilwatda

A fresh leadership crisis has erupted within the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the declaration by Alhaja Hafsatu Danladi that she is the “true and authentic” National Chairperson of the party.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, Danladi announced plans to approach the Federal High Court in Abuja to challenge the legitimacy of the current leadership structure of the party.
She described the existing leadership as illegitimate and vowed to seek judicial intervention to restore what she termed due process and the rule of law within the APC.
Danladi further disclosed that part of her legal action would include a request for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to discontinue recognition of the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Mr. Nentawe Yilwatda.
According to her, the move is aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the party and ensuring that its leadership emerges through lawful and transparent processes.
The development signals a potential escalation of internal disputes within the ruling party, raising concerns among stakeholders ahead of future political engagements.
