Wamban Lafiyan Bare-Bari Urges Peace, Tolerance During and After Elections

Suleiman Ahmed Wambai, the Wamban Lafiyan Bare-Bari, has called on Nigerians to shun political vices and embrace peace before, during, and after elections, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere.
Wambai made the appeal at the Banquet Hall named after Dr. Aliyu Akwe Doma, Government House, Lafia, during the celebration marking the 70th birthday anniversary of the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I.
According to him, political differences should not be allowed to create division among citizens, noting that every individual has the constitutional right to support a candidate or political party of their choice.
He emphasized that despite varying political affiliations and preferences, peace, mutual respect, and tolerance remain essential ingredients for meaningful development and national progress.
Wambai urged political actors, supporters, and the electorate to conduct themselves responsibly and avoid actions capable of undermining the unity and stability of their communities.
He further congratulated the Emir of Lafia on attaining the milestone age of 70, describing him as a symbol of wisdom, justice, and exemplary leadership whose contributions have continued to promote peace and development across Nasarawa State and beyond.
The birthday celebration attracted prominent traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders, religious figures, and well-wishers from different parts of the country who gathered to honour the revered monarch's remarkable legacy of service.
