CMD DASH Commends Gov. Sule for Approving Solar-Powered Borehole, Says Water Challenges Will Soon End

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH), Akwanga, Dr. Esala E. Abene, has commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for approving the drilling of a motorized solar-powered borehole at the hospital's temporary site, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.
Dr. Abene gave the commendation during an expanded management meeting with heads of units and other senior staff members held in his office in Akwanga.
He noted that the governor's approval would effectively address the persistent water supply challenges facing the facility and improve service delivery.
According to the CMD, Governor Sule's prompt response to the hospital's urgent needs demonstrates his administration's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across the state.
He also charged members of staff to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and strive for excellence in the discharge of their duties, warning against complacency and mediocrity.
Drawing an analogy, Dr. Abene said leadership positions come with accountability, stressing that no director or head of unit should allow the hospital to suffer losses through negligence or poor performance.
"Let it not be that as a director or head of a unit here, the hospital suffers loss because of you," he stated.
The CMD urged staff to work diligently, honestly, and collaboratively to ensure the continued growth and success of the hospital.
He further commended the management team and heads of units for their resilience and commitment despite challenges such as inadequate space and manpower.
Dr. Abene encouraged them to redouble their efforts in supporting the hospital's mission of delivering quality healthcare services to the people.
