Former Nasarawa Information Commissioner Dogo Shammah Dumps APC

A former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism in Nasarawa State, Hon. Dogo Shammah, has resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shammah, a member of Gitta Electoral Ward in Wamba Local Government Area, officially tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to the ward chairman, with effect from March 31, 2026.
The former commissioner, who is affiliated with Unit 4 Polling Unit at LGEA Primary School, Mararaba Gongon, expressed appreciation to the party for the opportunity to serve in various capacities during his time as a member.
“I hereby wish to resign my membership of the party with effect from 31st March, 2026,” the letter read.
He further acknowledged the cordial relationship he enjoyed within the party and thanked stakeholders for their support throughout his political journey.
The resignation signals a notable development in the political landscape of the area, as observers continue to track shifting allegiances at the grassroots level ahead of future political activities.
