Danladi Commends Women Groups, Reaffirms Commitment to Justice, Human Rights in Nasarawa
FIDA, NAWOJ, others laud Attorney General’s support, push for women’s inclusion and special seats bill

The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to justice delivery, human rights protection, and inclusive governance, as he received a coalition of women organisations on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Justice.
Speaking during the visit, Danladi expressed appreciation for the delegation’s kind remarks, noting that such recognition would further inspire him to deepen service to the people.
He emphasized that his office remains open and accessible to all, particularly groups advocating for justice and social development.
The Attorney General, who reflected on his over three decades in legal service, attributed his rise through the ranks, from state counsel to Permanent Secretary and now Attorney General, to divine grace and dedication.
He encouraged the visiting groups to remain steadfast in their advocacy, stressing that their contributions to society do not go unnoticed.
“I want to commend your efforts.
Even when people may not be watching, God is watching, and your reward will surely come,” he stated, urging the coalition to sustain their commitment to societal development and justice.
Earlier, the State Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Barr. Halima Hudu Abubakar, who led the delegation, commended Danladi for his consistent support for women, particularly in matters relating to human rights and legal protection.
She noted that organisations including FIDA, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), and other women groups consider the Ministry of Justice a key partner in their advocacy efforts.
According to her, the Attorney General has repeatedly provided both institutional and personal support to women in need.
“Our visit is to appreciate you and to seek continued support. Your contributions to women’s causes in the state cannot be overemphasized,” she said.
Also speaking, Hajiya Halima Yusuf Adole expressed gratitude on behalf of the coalition, highlighting the Attorney General’s role in strengthening women’s participation in governance.
She reiterated the group’s ongoing advocacy for the passage of special seats for women, aimed at increasing female representation in leadership.
The delegation emphasized that their struggle is geared towards securing a better future for women and younger generations, calling for sustained collaboration with the Ministry to achieve their objectives.
The visit underscores growing synergy between government institutions and civil society organisations in advancing gender inclusion and justice reforms in Nasarawa State.
