Court Grants El-Rufai N200m Bail, Imposes Strict Conditions
Ex-Kaduna Governor barred from media interviews, ordered to report monthly to ICPC

A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna State has granted bail to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, with stringent conditions attached to the ruling.
According to details of the bail terms, the court approved a ₦200 million bail bond, requiring the defendant to present two sureties.
One of the sureties must provide a valid Certificate of Occupancy for landed property, while the second surety is expected to be a respected elder within Kaduna State, subject to verification by the Kaduna State Council of Elders.
In addition, the court directed that El-Rufai and his legal counsel refrain from granting media interviews related to the case until the conclusion of the trial.
The court further ordered the former governor to report to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on the first day of every month.
He is also required to deposit his international passport with the court as part of measures to ensure compliance with the judicial process.
The case has been adjourned for further proceedings.
