Commends peaceful exercise, urges unity among party members ahead of general elections

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has lauded the emergence of Nantewa Gotshe Yilwatda as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, describing it as a milestone that signals victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda emerged through a consensus arrangement at the party’s National Convention held in Abuja.
Reacting to the development, Speaker Jatau commended the peaceful and successful conduct of the convention, noting that it reflects the maturity and internal cohesion of the APC. He congratulated the newly elected National Chairman alongside other members of the National Working Committee, expressing confidence in their ability to steer the party toward greater achievements.
The Speaker offered prayers for a successful tenure for the new leadership, urging them to uphold unity, discipline, and commitment to democratic ideals within the party.
He also congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a well-organized and outcome-driven convention, emphasizing that the development marks a positive step toward consolidating the party’s dominance on the national political stage.
Jatau expressed strong optimism that the APC would record a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections, calling on party faithful to remain united, peaceful, and focused on collective success.
