A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Hon. Moh Bello Habib, has called on party members across Zaria Local Government Area to throw their full weight behind Governor Uba Sani’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Habib also expressed strong support for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, urging constituents to sustain their backing in order to consolidate democratic gains.
The APC stalwart made the call in a statement issued shortly after the swearing-in of newly elected party executives at ward, local government, and state levels, describing their emergence as a step towards strengthening internal cohesion.
He commended Governor Sani for promoting consensus during the party congresses, noting that the approach fostered unity and mutual understanding among stakeholders.
Habib, who previously aspired for the position of Public Relations Officer/Publicity Secretary of the APC in Kaduna State, said he accepted the outcome of the process in good faith, attributing it to the party’s collective interest.
The former aspirant urged fellow contestants who were unsuccessful in the congresses to remain loyal and supportive of the party leadership, emphasizing the need to “sheath their swords” and rally behind the newly inaugurated executives.
“We must remain committed to the ideals of our great party. Opportunities will always come as long as we stay united and focused,” he stated.
He further stressed that sustained loyalty and cooperation among members would position the APC for greater electoral success and enhanced delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
