Gov. Sule, Top Officials Honour Fallen Heroes At Nasarawa Armed Forces Remembrance Day

Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, on Thursday led top government officials and traditional rulers in Lafia to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, laying wreaths in honour of Nigerian fallen heroes.

Among dignitaries at the ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe; the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (rtd); the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Bar. Isaac Danladi; and heads of security agencies. 

The governor also signed the remembrance register and released white pigeons to symbolise peace and national unity.

The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is marked annually on January 15 to honour members of the Nigerian Armed Forces who paid the ultimate price in defence of the nation.
