The Founder of Gwadabe Foundation, Abubakar Lawal Suleiman, MAPSA (Wazirin Nupe), has made a passionate appeal to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, to prioritize the provision of computers, particularly laptops, to public schools across the state as part of a deliberate move to align the education sector with global digital realities.
According to Abubakar Lawal Suleiman, the world is rapidly transitioning into a fully digital era, and in the next few years, virtually all sectors—including education—will be driven by technology.
He stressed that early exposure of pupils and students to digital tools is no longer optional but a necessity if Nasarawa State is to remain competitive and prepare its younger generation for future opportunities.
“As a strong believer in education for all, regardless of background, and as someone who has consistently championed human capital development, I believe this vision should also form a core priority of the present administration,” he stated.
The Gwadabe Foundation founder noted that access to laptops in schools would significantly enhance teaching and learning, improve digital literacy, and better equip students with the skills required in today’s knowledge-driven economy.
He also used the opportunity to commend Governor Abdullahi Sule for his swift and commendable response in introducing marker boards in some schools across the state, describing the initiative as a clear demonstration of the administration’s commitment to educational reform.
“It is my sincere hope that, with sustained efforts, the use of traditional blackboards and chalk will be completely phased out of our education system, giving way to modern, technology-driven learning environments,” he added.
Abubakar Lawal Suleiman expressed optimism that the Nasarawa State Government, under the leadership of Engr. Abdullahi Sule, will continue to take bold and forward-looking steps to strengthen the education sector and secure a better future for the state’s children.
