2027 Politics: Pressure Group Pushes Barr. Mustapha Galadima for Nasarawa South Senate
As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum, a pressure group under the banner of Good Governance and Leadership has thrown its weight behind Barrister Mustapha Galadima, urging him to contest for the Nasarawa South Senatorial seat.
The group’s convener, Comrade Aliyu Ibrahim Kyana, made the call while addressing journalists in Doma, describing Barr. Galadima as a credible alternative capable of redefining legislative representation in the district.
Kyana said the call was driven by growing dissatisfaction among constituents over what he described as a lack of effective representation, stressing that Nasarawa South needs a senator with the courage to speak for the people and the competence to influence national policy.
According to him, Barr. Galadima’s legal background, political maturity, and grassroots connection position him as a strong contender who can challenge the status quo and advance the interests of the senatorial zone at the National Assembly.
He noted that the group has commenced consultations across local government areas in the district and would intensify mobilisation to ensure the emergence of a candidate committed to accountability, development, and people-oriented leadership.
The convener added that the 2027 elections present a critical opportunity for voters in Nasarawa South to chart a new political direction, urging Barr. Galadima to heed the call in the interest of the district’s future.
