Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a youth group in Lafia has organized a welcome-back rally for a former member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Angibi, urging him to re-contest for the seat.
Speaking with our correspondent during the rally held in Lafia, the Chairman and Secretary of the group, Mr. Emmanuel Abraham and Mr. Ibrahim Adamu, respectively, described Hon. Angibi as a tested and trusted lawmaker whose previous tenure brought meaningful development to the constituency.
According to them, the former lawmaker distinguished himself through effective representation, people-oriented legislation, and consistent engagement with his constituents, particularly the youth.
They said the decision to welcome him back and endorse his return to the Assembly was informed by his track record of service, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development.
The group further expressed confidence that Hon. Angibi’s experience and leadership qualities would greatly contribute to quality lawmaking and the overall progress of Lafia Central if given another opportunity to serve.
The rally attracted a large turnout of youths and supporters from across the constituency, signaling growing political momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
