The only female member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, PhD, has again provided relief and empowerment to her constituents, distributing food items and other essential materials worth millions of naira across Nasarawa Central Constituency.

The distribution exercise, which took place on Saturday at the Nasarawa Local Government Council Secretariat, saw beneficiaries receive 10 motorcycles, 10 solar-powered street lights, 200 bags of rice for the Christmas season, and 100 wrappers distributed to Christian widows.

The lawmaker also disbursed a scholarship grant of ₦20,000 each to 200 tertiary institution students drawn from the constituency.

The intervention, tagged “Talafin Tafisu,” marked the ninth such outreach since Dr. Danyaro assumed office. She explained that the initiative was part of her campaign promises aimed at providing succour and easing economic hardship among constituents, irrespective of political affiliation or religious belief.

Dr. Danyaro, who chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs, attributed the success of her empowerment programmes to the unwavering support of her constituents and the peaceful atmosphere fostered by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule. She urged residents to continue supporting the state government to sustain development.

The lawmaker pledged to intensify efforts in lawmaking and constituency interventions, promising improved access to clean water, healthcare, and educational facilities, while also championing the cause of women and vulnerable groups in the society.

Commending her efforts, the Nasarawa State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Aliyu Bello—represented by the party’s Nasarawa West Zonal Chairman, Isaiah Koki Agah—described Dr. Danyaro as an asset to the party.

Similar commendations were echoed by the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Council, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan, who was represented by his Legislative Liaison Officer, Adamu Ahmed Adamu.

Other APC stakeholders, including former council chairman Barrister Sani Bawa, Dr. Musa Doshiro, and Safiya Aliyu, lauded the lawmaker for surpassing the achievements of her predecessors, noting that her performance underscores the capacity of women to deliver effective and people-oriented leadership.

Some beneficiaries, including Babangida Laminga, Kasuwa Gambo Yadoga, and Ukpo Suleiman Kokpa, expressed gratitude to their representative for living up to her responsibilities and pledged continued support for her political future beyond 2027.
