In a grand ceremony steeped in tradition, cultural splendour and deep communal pride, the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, on Friday conferred the revered traditional title of Bijimin Birnin Keffi on the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed.
Held at the historic Keffi Emir’s Palace, the event showcased the rich heritage of the Keffi Emirate, attracting a rare assemblage of dignitaries from across Nigeria. Among those in attendance were the Sultan of Sokoto,
His Eminence Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who joined other traditional rulers, senior government officials, political leaders, captains of industry, academics and residents in celebrating the honour.
The turbaning, characterised by colourful rites and age-old rituals, underscored the Emirate’s recognition of Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed’s integrity, humility, calm leadership and outstanding contributions to public service.
His elevation to the prestigious title of Bijimin Birnin Keffi reflects the Emirate’s appreciation for individuals whose conduct and service advance the collective well-being of the society.The Accountant General, widely respected for his professionalism, fiscal discipline and commitment to transparent governance, received the title amid applause and admiration from all quarters.
The ceremony not only reaffirmed the cultural vitality of the Keffi Emirate but also highlighted the growing role of technocrats and public servants in strengthening traditional institutions across Nasarawa State.
With this honour, Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed now joins the ranks of notable personalities entrusted with preserving the heritage, dignity and values of the Keffi Emirate Council.
