The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has adopted the consensus model for the conduct of its party leadership elections.
The decision was reached at an expanded stakeholders’ meeting held on Tuesday, where party leaders, critical stakeholders, and delegates from across the state unanimously endorsed the arrangement.
According to reports from the meeting, the adoption of the consensus approach is aimed at strengthening unity, promoting internal harmony, and positioning the party for future electoral success.
The party leadership explained that the consensus system would help minimise internal disputes, foster brotherhood among party members, and ensure a smooth and peaceful political process within the APC in Nasarawa State.
Party stakeholders expressed optimism that the move would further consolidate the party’s stability and enhance its chances in forthcoming political engagements.
