The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has formally decorated his former Orderly, Sagir Aliyu, following his promotion to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
The promotion, which was approved by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), was marked with a brief decoration ceremony held at the Government House, Lafia.
Speaking at the event, the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Shettima Muhammad, conveyed the goodwill and congratulations of the IGP to the newly promoted officer. He urged ASP Sagir Aliyu to sustain the core values of professionalism, discipline, and dedication to duty that define the Nigerian Police Force.
Following his promotion, ASP Sagir Aliyu has officially assumed office as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Governor Abdullahi Sule, a position that places him in close security and administrative service to the state’s chief executive.
The ceremony was attended by senior government officials and security personnel, who commended the officer’s steady rise through the ranks and expressed confidence in his ability to discharge his new responsibilities with diligence and loyalty.
