The leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Nasarawa State has called on party members and the general public to disregard any statements, meetings, or activities organized by individuals who are neither recognized members of the party nor those who have been duly suspended for misconduct and violations of party principles.
In an official statement issued on behalf of the party and signed by the State Chairman, Hon. Danlami M. Musa, the SDP described such individuals as “unscrupulous elements engaged in fraudulent and misleading activities”, warning that their actions were a deliberate attempt to cause confusion and undermine the unity and progress of the party in the state.
According to the statement, the Disciplinary and Arbitration Committee of the party will take “appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with the SDP constitution against any individual or group found to be involved in unauthorized or illegal activities.”
“For the avoidance of doubt, the authentic and duly recognized leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Nasarawa State remains under the stewardship of Hon. Danlami M. Musa and the legally constituted State Executive Committee (Exco),” the statement emphasized.
The SDP urged all members across the state to remain loyal, vigilant, and supportive of the legitimate leadership as efforts continue to strengthen the party and advance its democratic ideals.
The statement concluded by appreciating the continued commitment and dedication of party members to the growth and stability of the Social Democratic Party in Nasarawa State.
