The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Isaac Danladi, on Thursday received the Commissioner for Trade, Hon. Sani Otto, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Justice House along Shendam Road, Lafia.
Welcoming his counterpart, Barr. Danladi described the visit as timely and strategic, noting that closer ties between the Ministries of Justice and Trade are vital for the overall economic and social development of the state.
He stressed that effective legal frameworks and fair business regulations are essential to attracting investors and sustaining economic growth.
“The Ministry of Justice is ever ready to provide the necessary legal backing and advisory services to ensure that government policies on trade and investment are not only well-grounded in law but also effectively implemented for the benefit of all citizens,” he stated.
Barr. Danladi further assured that his ministry would continue to create an enabling environment that guarantees justice delivery and protects the rights of businesses and investors.
Earlier in his remarks, Hon. Sani Otto commended Barr. Danladi for his unwavering dedication to the rule of law and for the reforms already undertaken in the justice sector.
He explained that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen collaboration between both ministries, particularly in areas of market regulation, consumer protection, and enforcement of trade policies.
Hon. Otto added that the Ministry of Trade is committed to creating a vibrant and well-regulated marketplace and recognized the Justice Ministry as a critical partner in ensuring that commercial activities in the state are conducted in line with existing laws and regulations.
Both commissioners expressed optimism that the partnership will translate into practical policies that will stimulate local businesses, protect consumers, and ultimately boost the state’s revenue base.
The visit, which brought together senior officials from both ministries, ended with a shared commitment to work closely in promoting good governance, economic empowerment, and sustainable development in Nasarawa State.
