The Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, has pledged stronger collaboration with key stakeholders to combat human trafficking in Nasarawa State.
Barr. Danladi made the commitment when he received a delegation from the Media Coalition & Awareness to Halt Human Trafficking (MeCAHT), led by its Executive Director, Ikape James Ikape, and the State Commandant of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Sa’datu Galadima, during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Justice in Lafia.
Welcoming the delegation, the Attorney General commended MeCAHT and NAPTIP for their tireless efforts in curbing human trafficking and related crimes. He assured them of the Ministry’s unwavering support for initiatives that promote justice, protect human rights, and uphold accountability.
“The Ministry of Justice remains open to meaningful collaboration and constructive engagement with partners who share our vision of a society free from human trafficking,” Barr. Danladi stated.
Earlier, NAPTIP State Commandant Sa’datu Galadima lauded the Ministry’s continued partnership and emphasized the need for sustained joint action to protect victims and prosecute offenders.
MeCAHT’s Executive Director, Ikape James Ikape, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to working closely with NAPTIP and the Ministry of Justice to strengthen the fight against human trafficking.
The visit, which brought together senior officials from all three institutions, further reinforced their shared determination to safeguard the dignity and rights of victims and to eradicate human trafficking across Nasarawa State.
