The Nasarawa State Commissioner of Education, Dr. John D. W. Mamman, on Monday joined the Minister of Education and other top officials at the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) headquarters in Abuja for the ministerial unveiling of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) digital portal and the launch of its strategic vision for Nigerian teachers.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening teacher professionalism, improving access to digital resources, and ensuring quality education delivery in line with global best practices.
Dr. Mamman, who also doubles as the Head of Education in Nasarawa State, lauded the Federal Government for the innovation, describing it as a major step toward repositioning the teaching profession.
He stressed that Nasarawa State remains committed to supporting policies and programmes that promote teacher development, capacity-building, and digital inclusion in the education sector.
The event brought together key stakeholders including education commissioners from across the federation, UBEC officials, representatives of TRCN, and development partners.
