Kaduna State Government is investigate Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN)'s of relocating 40MVA Transformer from Zaria as alleged by Communities in area
The state Government was reacting on a petition against the TNC by a Human right activist, Dr yahaya Danjuma Yusuf to the State Governor, Senator Mallam Uba tuba, the speaker house of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen Iyan Zazzau, Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Minister for Environment, Alhaji Balarabe Lawal Abbas and others stakeholders that the Transmission company was planning to relocate the transformer from the area to unknown destination
The Managing Director of the Company, Engineer Idris Aminu said his short statement that viral on Tuesday
He said the attention of his Company has been drawn to petition regarding the plan relocate said transformer.
Engineer Aminu stated that on behalf of state Government that he assure agrived Communities that their concern were taken very seriously.
He pointed out the state Government understood the critical role the infrastructure play in providing stable power to Zaria and Neighboring Local Governments areas.
He explained that investigation into will soon commence. He said "We engaging with Ministry of Power, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to ascertain the fact surrounding the relocation of the transformer.
"Our goal is to ensure that any decisions regarding this vital asset are made with the best interests of the people of Zaria at heart." Engineer Aminu said
